My family moved to Meridian in 2010. Before entering the world of garage door service, I was an anchor and reporter at a local television station in Boise for 11 years. I spent 5 years as an investigative reporter during my time in the Treasure Valley working as a journalist. I have a breaking news story for you... you've been paying way too much for garage door repair services! My personal mission; to install quality components at an affordable price. Our house in Meridian is home to us, we're not going anywhere. Affordable Garage Door Service will be here for you as long as I'm on the top side of the grass. Fun Fact : I can juggle!

We moved to Idaho when I was 6 years old, and I called it home for 15 years! I was an integral part of this business, having designed this very website, edited our advertisements, did all of our graphic design, marketing, as well as performed my duties as a technician! I chose to step away from the company due to relocation, but I love this industry and everything about it. 

Fun Fact: I sell art on the side!

I was a stray on the streets of Caldwell until I was nine months old, then these folks brought me home. I wasn't too keen on them at first, but they've grown on me. I get lots of treats, pets and spare potato chips that fall on the floor. They even take me on car rides! I love to sun bathe, bark at people from the window, and do zoomies around the backyard. I have this rival squirrel that lives in the neighbor's tree and it taunts me from the top of the fence. How in the world can he run around up there anyway? That guy sucks, I'm gonna get him one day.

Fun Fact : I ring a bell when I want to go potty!

Jim has been in the music industry for over 40 years. He attended the Musicans Institute in Hollywood many moons ago and has toured nationally with his former band Rude Awakening. The group opened for many well known bands during his career. Jim is a professional who has more talent in his pinky than most players have in all 10 digits. While the music Jim produced for our fun little project here at Affordable Garage Door Service has a rockin' edge, he can play any genre. These days Mr. Hill has mellowed out... a wife and kids will do that to ya ;) In any event, Jim has his own music production business and creates, plays and produces music for various video productions including commercials. He also works with other musicans providing session work on multiple instruments and also handles all aspects of music production upon request.
